Hi, I'm Millie ♡
Short Bio
I do all the drawings. I set up Monkey & Me so I didn’t have to go straight back to a proper job after having my little boy, but I love it so much that now it is my proper job.

Thanks for visiting Monkey & Me. I'm the artist behind this collection of children’s art.
I live in Cheshire with my wonderful partner, beautiful son, 2 nutty dogs and a giant cat.
It may not surprise you to know that I don’t have any artistic qualifications (worth mentioning anyway) but I’ve ALWAYS loved drawing. When I was little, I’d sit for hours doodling cartoon characters and was (am still) fascinated by big, bold colourful artwork.
I’ve always found drawing therapeutic. I’m an over-thinker by nature and like a lot of people, suffer with anxiety at times. Drawing is my calm place; I get completely lost in my doodles and it allows my busy brain to quieten – for a short while at least.
In 2015 I had my gorgeous little boy, Theo. I absolutely loved my maternity leave but the further I got into it, the more anxious I felt about my return to work. I worked in a demanding field sales role, my days were long and I found my anxiety getting worse every time I thought about leaving the little chap.
My priorities had changed - I knew I needed to come up with something that allowed me to spend more time with Theo. We loved visiting animals at the farm and zoo, pointing at them and (loudly) saying what noise they make.
So, one day, I decided to dig out my pens and draw some of Theo’s favourite animals to put up in his room and he loved them.
An idea started to form…
…if my drawings were making my little boy smile, perhaps other little ones might enjoy them too?! So, I drew some more.
In 2016 I made the gutsy decision to leave my old job and set-up Monkey & Me with nothing but a computer, printer, pens and a little faith in seeing where this new adventure could take me and as they say, the rest is history.
Theo (Monkey) is almost 8 now and we love to draw together. Along with ever-changing dreams of being a palaeontologist, a baker or a superhero… he says that one day, he’d like to be an artist. I promised that when I re-launched my website in 2023, he could have his very own space to share his work – so please do check it out, it’d mean the world to him.
All my artwork is designed with your little ones in mind, I wanted to bring some of the fun that Theo & I share to their walls too. Over the years I’ve developed an extensive collection of colourful art prints, all of which I create, print and post to you from my little studio at home in Cheshire.
If you’d like to ask a question, say hello or have any suggestions for new animals or prints, I would love to hear your ideas.
I hope my prints make the little ones in your life as happy as they have mine.
Thank you for visiting x
